Christmas Prize Draw Terms and Conditions

1. Promoter

The promoter of these prize draws is Bank of Ireland (UK) plc, located at 1 Temple Quay, Bristol, BS1 6DX (“the Promoter”).

2. Eligibility

The prize draws are open to residents of the United Kingdom aged 18 or over who are registered and current members of the Bank of Ireland for Intermediaries (UK) panel. Employees of the Promoter, their families, agents, or any third party directly associated with the administration of the prize draws are not eligible to enter.

3. Entry Conditions

To enter each Christmas prize draw, participants must:

• Be a follower of the official Bank of Ireland for Intermediaries (UK) LinkedIn page: https://www.linkedin.com/showcase/bank-of-ireland-for-intermediaries.
• Like the relevant Christmas prize draw post on LinkedIn.
• Comment the correct answer for the specific Christmas prize draw task on the relevant LinkedIn post.
• Be a registered and current member of our Intermediary Panel.

The prize draws are free to enter, and no purchase is necessary.

4. Entry Limitations

Only one entry per participant per prize draw is allowed. Multiple entries for the same prize draw will be disqualified. Each prize draw is standalone, and participants may enter each separate prize draw individually.

5. Tasks, Deadlines, and Prizes

The Christmas prize draws will run separately over a 3-week period, with entries accepted until midday on each closing date as outlined below:

Week 1 Draw (w/c 25th November 2024) – Wordsearch Prize Draw:

• Task: Find the Christmas word in the wordsearch and comment the correct word on the LinkedIn post.
• Prize: Six bottles of champagne and a Hotel Chocolat Grand Wreath Box.
• Closing Date: Midday (12pm) on Friday 29th November 2024.

Week 2 Draw (w/c 2nd December 2024) – Word Unscramble Prize Draw:

• Task: Unscramble the Christmas word and comment the correct answer on the LinkedIn post.
• Prize: £150 Amazon Voucher.
• Closing Date: Midday (12pm) on Friday 6th December 2024.

Week 3 Draw (w/c 9th December 2024) – Christmas Trivia Question Prize Draw:

• Task: Guess the correct answer to the Christmas trivia question.
• Prize: Fortnum & Mason Luxury Christmas Hamper.
• Closing Date: Midday (12pm) on Friday 13th December 2024.

Entries received after the specified deadlines will not be accepted.

6. Winner Selection

All valid, correct entries received before the respective closing dates shall be added to a prize draw. One winner shall be chosen at random for each draw. The selection process will be a random draw performed by a computer process, with a verification check to confirm that the selected winner meets the ‘Eligibility’ and ‘Entry Conditions’ and hasn’t breached the ‘Entry Limitations’.

7. Winner Notification

The winners will be notified within 7 days of each draw’s closing date via LinkedIn direct message, email or a telephone call from the winners dedicated support (this could be either their Business Development Manager or Telephone Business Development Manager). Winners must confirm their acceptance of the prize and provide a postal address for delivery within 7 days of notification. Failure to respond within this period may result in forfeiture of the prize, and an alternative winner will be selected.

8. Prize Delivery

The prizes will be delivered within 30 days of the respective closing date to an address agreed upon by the winner and the Promoter. The prizes are non-exchangeable, non-transferable, and no cash alternatives will be offered.

9. Publicity

By participating in these prize draws, entrants consent to the Promoter publishing their first name, surname, company name, and the prize won on the Bank of Ireland for Intermediaries (UK) LinkedIn page and other marketing channels, in accordance with Section 11. Participants who object to any or all of these details being published should contact the Promoter.

10. Limitation of Liability

Insofar as permitted by law, the Promoter, its agents, or distributors will not in any circumstances be liable to compensate the winners or accept any liability for any loss, damage, personal injury, or death occurring as a result of taking up the prize, except where it is caused by the negligence of the Promoter, its agents, or distributors, or that of their employees. Your statutory rights are not affected.

11. Data Protection

Personal data supplied during the course of this promotion will be processed in accordance with the Promoter’s Privacy Policy and will only be used as necessary for the administration of these prize draws.

12. Promoter’s Rights

The Promoter reserves the right to hold, void, cancel, suspend, or amend the promotion where it becomes necessary to do so. The Promoter reserves the right to replace the prize with an alternative prize of equal or higher value if circumstances beyond the Promoter's control make it necessary to do so. The Promoter’s decision regarding any aspect of the prize draw is final and binding, and no correspondence will be entered into.

13. Information on Winners

The Promoter must either publish or make available information that indicates that a valid award took place. To comply with this obligation, the Promoter will send the surname and county of major prize winners, and, if applicable, copies of their winning entries, to anyone who writes to: Intermediary Marketing, Bank of Ireland (UK) plc, Ground Floor South, One Temple Quay, Bristol BS1 6DX (enclosing a self-addressed envelope) within one month after each of the closing dates stated in Section 5. If you object to any or all of your surname, county, and winning entry being published or made available, please contact the Promoter either at the address set out above or via the “Contact Us” section of the Promoter’s website. In such circumstances, the Promoter must still provide the information and winning entry to the Advertising Standards Authority on request.

14. Governing Law

These Terms and Conditions are governed by English law, and participants to this promotion agree to submit to the jurisdiction of the courts of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland.

15. Acceptance of Terms & Conditions

Participants are deemed to have accepted and agreed to be bound by these Terms and Conditions upon entry. The Promoter reserves the right to refuse entry or refuse to award the prize to anyone in breach of these Terms and Conditions.
